Jomi was invited to Istanbul and admired in Tabriz. Jomi verses took place in numerous anthologies since the s and his figure was the figure of a reformer of the poetic expression, following the example of Hafiz, and he was himself very prolific writer as poet and theorist, and he had numerous disciples and followers. But unfortunately for him his master Silvestre de Sacy criticised extremely this translation in a lecture given in before the Academie des Inscriptions et belles-lettres. According to Sacy it was a lot of mistakes and misunderstanding of the difficult Persian text.
